A group of caring young ladies thought of others this Valentine’s Day. The local American Heritage Troop (MI3312) designed cards and suncatchers for the Blue Water Hospice Home. At the heart of the troop is teaching girls to think of others, build a better community, and emphasize integrity & values, which clearly rings true with this group.
The cards were distributed at the W.I.N.G.S. (Widows/Widowers In Need of Grief Support) support group on Tuesday. This support group is specifically for individuals grieving the loss of a spouse/significant other. “Those that attend our group have lost their Valentine, so knowingthese girls thought of us… we feel blessed. And our group absolutely loved the cards!” said Breanna Day, a social worker with VNA & Blue Water Hospice.
Visitors and patients at the Blue Water Hospice Home are enjoying the beautiful suncatchers displayed throughout the Hospice Home.
American Heritage Girls (AHG) is Christ-centered character and leadership development program for girls 5 to 18 years of age. AHG is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country.
