Garden Angels needed at the Blue Water Hospice Home

We are looking for volunteers to join our new Garden Club at the Blue Water Hospice Home (BWHH). The grounds at the Hospice Home are simply beautiful, but we are in need of additional hands to help us keep it this way.

We are seeking volunteers to “Adopt a Patio”. We have 12 patient patios that overlook the amazing pond on our campus. We are asking groups to adopt one or two (or as many as you’d like!) patios to look after and keep them beautiful – from weeding to watering throughout the summer.

In addition, we have a few flower beds in the front of the building and the Memorial Garden off of the large Family Room that require regular attention. We want to keep these areas beautiful for our patients and their family and friends to find peace in these difficult times. Lastly, the Hospice Home sign flower bed at Davis Road and Edison Drive requires occasional maintenance.

Garden Club meets every Thursday at 9:30 a.m. through summer (weather permitting). If Thursday doesn’t work, let us know what time is more convenient for you. Bring your garden gloves! Tools will be provided, however, if you prefer your own, you are welcome to bring them. No power tools permitted by Garden Club volunteers. Designated staff will complete work that requires such tools.

Garden Club volunteers must complete a Volunteer Waiver Form. Feel free to print, complete, and bring with you or it can be completed on site at your first session.
