‘Tis the season to count our blessings and be thankful for time spent with family and friends. And, to remember all of those who have touched our lives.

Years ago, several families approached VNA & Blue Water Hospice wishing for a way to honor their loved ones as well as give back to the agency. As a result of their request, we developed Light Up a Life – an annual celebration of life during the holiday season. Over the years, Light Up a Life has grown as an avenue to not only memorialize family members, but also honor the staff and volunteers who have cared for them.

The annual campaign runs mid-November through December. Donations are represented by a light on the Tree of Remembrance. Each shining light symbolizes the life, hope, and dreams of loved ones. The twinkling Tree of Remembrance can be viewed on the grounds of the Blue Water Hospice Home.

Donations to the campaign provide funding for the community’s health care needs through both charity care and room & board at the Blue Water Hospice Home as needed, ensuring that all patients receive safe and quality care, regardless of their financial position.

All are welcome to view and enjoy the twinkling Tree of Remembrance located on the grounds of the Blue Water Hospice Home, 2795 Edison Drive, Marysville. The tree is lit from dusk until dawn throughout December. You are invited to bring a memento and leave it on/under the tree. (Items will not be returned.)

If you would like to celebrate the life of someone special, you can complete your donation online, or download and mail payment. For questions or more information call (810) 984-4131.
