Visiting Nurse Association and Blue Water Hospice (VNA & BWH) will hold the 9th annual Light Up a Life giving campaign now through December 31. The annual event raises funds for Blue Water Hospice services – for both in-home and Hospice Home patient care.
Light Up a Life is an annual celebration during the holiday season. It is an opportunity for the community to remember and honor loved ones. A donation is represented by a light on the Tree of Remembrance. Thousands of twinkling lights illuminate the tree located in the Tom Lock Memorial Observatory on the grounds of the Blue Water Hospice Home. Each light symbolizes the life, hope, and dreams of a loved one.
“Light Up a Life campaign came about as a way for family and friends of current or former patients to pay tribute to them while giving back to hospice services. It has grown over the years, and we are very grateful for the continued support of our community. It’s because of this community that the Hospice Home even exists. They saw a need and helped us make it a reality. We are very thankful and invite the community to drive by and view the tree” says Heidi Benner, volunteer coordinator at VNA & BWH.
If you want to dedicate a light in honor or in memory of a loved one, call (810) 984-4131.
The community is invited to view the beautiful tree on the grounds of Blue Water Hospice Home, located at 2795 Edison Drive, Marysville. The tree is illuminated the month of December from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily.
‘Tis the season to count our blessings and be thankful for time spent with family and friends. And, to remember all of those who have touched our lives.
