VNA & Blue Water Hospice leadership honors staff quarterly through the ‘Shining Star’ program, recognizing the extras they do for each other, their patients, and the community.
Jeannie was first introduced to VNA & Blue Water Hospice during a fundraiser in 2011. A friend’s niece had passed away, and they were raising funds to name a room in her honor at the soon-to-be completed hospice home. Room 10 is now named for Julian Clare Barton.
For 10 years, Jeannie had operated a day care when a position at the agency opened. She was ready to talk to adults! She says, “I enjoy coming to work every day. Never are two days the same, and I like that! I like being involved, assisting with human resources, regulatory, and other areas in the agency. I appreciate our executive team and their great work/life balance. VNA is a wonderful place to work, and our people are amazing. I’m very happy I was selected for that position six years ago!”
Greg recognized Jeannie as a Shining Star!
“Jeannie, not only has been a crucial pillar during this whole time, but has gone above and beyond to help. She does whatever is needed to get the job done. She uses critical thinking and is not afraid to take on any task. She is excellent for this agency!”
