American Heritage Girls (AHG) Troop MI-3312 chose to spend their Saturday cleaning the flowerbeds at the BWHH. More than 30 volunteers (the girls and parents) dug in… literally, pulling weeds and general fall cleanup. There are many beautiful flowerbeds and gardens surrounding the Blue Water Hospice Home and the help from these energetic group of girls and parents is greatly appreciated!
AHG is a faith-based, scout-type character development program with a mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country. The program is for girls age 5 to 18 and can be found in every state and more than 15 countries!
The Troop prayed for the hospice home residents, families, staff, and facility. “The girls really enjoyed the time they had to fellowship with their friends and make a difference in their community. It was a wonderful opportunity for us adults to share with them what the Hospice Home is for and why the work is important” said Breanna Day, LMSW (and troop mom!).
Thank you, AHG Troop MI-3312 – your hard work is very much appreciated! Learn more about American Heritage Girls at americanheritagegirls.org.
