We had the privilege of honoring a hero. Ralph Dimmick, U.S. Army Veteran, was presented with a handmade, one-of-a-kind quilt to honor his service to our country.
Ralph was a Private First Class from 1956 to 1958, serving as a company clerk. He spent his time in Turkey, living among the Turkish people, even living with a local family. During his service he made many lifelong friendships. He remains in contact with Bud, a fellow serviceman, he met while in Turkey. To this day, they regularly speak – Ralph in the U.S., Bud in Turkey. Bud remained there with his wife and family. They never let the distance cause them to lose touch. No wonder Ralph says his time in the military was a positive experience!
We were honored to present Ralph with a Quilt of Valor while surrounded by family and friends. Thank you, Ralph!
