Louise has been with the Private Duty division of VNA for more than seven years. She helps clients with personal care, exercise, light housekeeping, errands, and listens to them. She finds that by having a discussion with her clients, she can identify if there are changes in their behavior that need to be addressed.
Her desire to help others came at a young age. Louise lost her mom when she was only 11 years old. “I know, all too well, that void you feel. As a mother and nana, I now have sunshine in my day…I want to share and bring that to others.” She really enjoys spending time with the elderly of our community, stating they have so much to offer and maybe we don’t always appreciate them. “I fear that many people take for granted just how much they can teach us. They’ve lived through a lot and are highly intelligent…I don’t want to ever take that for granted.”
Janet recognized Louise as a Shining Star!
“I regularly hear from Louise’s clients that she is a gem, very kind, always making sure everything is completed. She will change her schedule to accommodate the clients. Through this pandemic, she has continued on with a positive attitude, reassuring clients that they will be alright, and we will get through this. We are lucky to have Louise on our team.”
