VNA & Blue Water Hospice leadership honors staff quarterly through the ‘Shining Star’ program, recognizing the extras they do for each other, their patients, and the community.
Let’s get to know Nikki!
Nikki is a Home Health Coordinator and has been at VNA & Blue Water Hospice since June 2021.
What do you do at VNA & BWH?
I work on scheduling Home Health visits, acquiring supplies, confirming information with physician offices, and document in patient charts.
Why did you choose this type of work?
I have worked within the health field for many years, specifically in home care. I wanted to try something new but still within the medical field.
Why do you choose to work at VNA & BWH?
A friend said there was an opening and thought I would be good for the job. She had a very high opinion of the agency. I enjoy it here – the people and my work. Sure, it can be stressful at times, but what position isn’t!
What is a favorite memory you have of work?
I don’t have a specific memory. When I think about VNA, I think of the great people I work alongside – people who are always willing to help each other.
Lita recognized Nikki as a Shining Star!
Nikki is an amazing asset to the agency. She does so much and such a great job talking to patients and making calls. She ensures nurses have all needed supplies and communicates changes in our schedule and visits. I could not do my job without her.
